Green Rays are Planting Vegetables
January 27th, 2012 by costellol

The Green Rays Recycling Club is planting a garden behind building three. They will be growing strawberries, Seminole pumpkin, lettuce, carrots, peppers, broccoli, onions, and green beans. They are going to give the fruits and vegetables to the Home Economics classes to cook and create meals, and also to the builders club, so they can donate the fruits and vegetables to the needy. They raised the money for the garden by sponsoring a jeans day on Arbor Day—kids were able to wear a green shirt and jeans for a dollar. The money raised was used to buy vegetable seeds and soil, and a gate that will be put up soon around the garden. All of the Green Rays are donating their own time to make this garden possible. Keep up the great work guys!
