Ms. Turner’s Classes Stay Busy

By: Sadia K. and Elena K.

Big projects call for big ideas! Ms. Turner’s fifth block enviromental science class is working to improve our butterfly garden. Yes! We have a butterfly garden! It is located by the courtyard entrance to the gymnasium. They hope to expand it and repair it in the near future!

In both of Ms. Turner’s eighth grade classes, the students are studying the different ecosystems in the everglades. From freshwater sloughs to cypress domes, her students know it all.

Speaking of know-it-all, Ms. Turner’s students are also working on projects that explain environmental laws and treaties.

Be careful what you poke! You don’t know what laws you’ll be breaking! Look out for all these environmental experiences and more!
