BLCTAC Works with RMS Students

Roosevelt Middle School students are teaming up with the Arts Council for the second year in a row. This unique program, Building Learning Communities Through the Arts Council, is sponsored by the Arts Council and Resource Depot. Mrs. Kauffman’s seventh graders and Mr. LaVogue’s sixth graders are working with visual artist Jennifer O’Brien on two projects. Mrs. Kauffman’s class will be making a stop-action video on how a bill becomes a law, and Mr. LaVogue’s class will be creating a “Today Show”-type presentation on Egypt. Resource Depot, which provides recycled materials to non-profit organizations for only one dollar per visit, is providing all the raw materials for both projects.
