The Calendar Of Events of the Project SMaRT Blog lists the first SMaRT Ambassador meeting as August 29th.
Please clarify.

Hi Marcos–
The first SMaRT Ambassador meeting is August 29th.
First meeting for all participants is September 26th.
Sorry for any confusion!

You may want to send out a clarification to the ambassadors. The letter from Amy (Gary) that we had to respond to definitely said the first Ambassador meeting would be September 19 followed by lead teachers on September 26. I assumed that meant the PTB had rescheduled since I knew that Gary planned to be there. I figured that there was a schedule conflict with Aug 29.

Thanks Fran. I’ve posted a note here and we’ll be sending reminders shortly. The dates listed on the Calendar of Events page are correct.

Hi,
is the first meeting on Sep. 26th for Lead Teachers, an all day meeting? 9-3 or one of the shorter meetings?
Thanks

Would you please post due dates for proposals, story boards, etc. on the calendar or elsewhere. I have Theresa’s tentative plan for this year, but am unsure if those dates are now definite.

Great suggestion Tom. After our SMaRT Ambassador meeting this Saturday we should be able to get those items into the first semester calendar.

Ah, now I understand the question.
Sorry, no, we do not have any project proposal dates set as of yet. We will keep you updated as best we can.

HI Theresa–
We’re still sorting through our records and looking at overall participation among schools. We will be sending invitations for new participants via your principal.

On the calendar it shows dates for General and Individual meeting dates (9:00 – 4:00). Are all required or only General meetings?
Are individual dates for additional assistance if needed. How many days are we permitted to miss and still remain in good standing?
The (Science) NSTA conference in Ft. Lauderdale is the weekend of 11/12-14/09 and I will be attending. That is a general meeting date.

I’m sure that large pot of new funding has already been allocated, but if there were any left or if new funding arises. . .
I would be very interested in some sort of basic animation program or software (it needs to be a bit more versatile than the 3D house program). I can imagine many uses for something like this, esp. for science modeling, math (I dunno–maybe danicing numbers or something), or creating short snipets to incorporate into vodcasts.
