Wow…It’s hard to believe that homecoming week is already here! I have been hard at work helping the Class of 2012 to build their homecoming float as well as helping the Junior Powder Puff Team get ready for their victory next Tuesday. Many of you were wondering about the Homecoming week Dress-Up Days and Activities….Well….here they are! Get involved! It’s fun!

Mon: College/Jersey Day w/ a gumball activity during lunch.

Tues: Flashback (80s, 90s, etc…) w/ a Car Bashing during lunch for $2.
NIGHT ACTIVITY: Powder Puff Game @ 6pm; $3 to get in. COME CHEER ON MR. WOODS AND THE JUNIOR CLASS!

Wed: Wacky Wonka (tacky clothing or wear a tshirt represent a candy) w/ Hanging donut activity during lunch.

Thurs: Nerd Day (LTM Day) NO lunch activity

Fri: Spirit Day w/ Musical Chairs during lunch
Freshmen Wear White
Sophomores Wear Red
Juniors Wear Black
Seniors Wear School Colors

Voting also during 5th hour for homecoming King and Queen.
PEP RALLY DAY!!! w/ activity day schedule
NIGHT ACTIVITY: GAME Night!! 7 PM!

Floats will be shown at the game during Half Time ~ Come watch Mr. Woods and the Junior Class win the float competition for the second year in a row!

HOMECOMING DANCE IS SATURDAY IN THE GYM! Tickets on sale for $30 during lunches!

One of the “rights of passage” for any high school student is homecoming! Held once a year, homecoming is a week filled with events, dress up days, floats….and, oh yes, the homecoming game and dance! As many of you know, I serve as the Junior Class Sponsor. This means that I help organize the juniors and get them ready for homecoming events…which will include our favorites: the powder puff game (in which the girls play football and the boys are the cheerleaders)! I also help the Juniors build a float….if you have ever watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, you may have been in awe of the huge floats. Last year the Sophomores (my class) one first place…and we intend to do it again!!!! I hope to see you all involved next week! We have 5 days of dress up themed days…..and a great end of week game on Friday and dance on Saturday! GO CHIEFS!!!!
