Santaluces’ Student Government and Key Club have joined forces to collect canned foods and other items needed for disaster relief in Haiti. Major Earthquake Hits Haiti

As many of you have heard by now, I a major earthquake has struck the island of Haiti. By reports, the earthquake (a 7+ on the Richter scale) caused major destruction. If you are interested in learning more, Follow this link to Reuters articles on the subject.

It is ironic that we are studying tectonic plate movement and earthquakes this week. I hope you will make this a “learning moment”.

PBCSD RSS Blog Feed ~ What is it?

RSS stands for “Real Simple Syndication”. You can use RSS to see when your favorite web pages update content. It will show you what was recently added. I have added an RSS feed to our blog (bottom right column). This will show you what teachers around the district are posting on their blogs!

South Florida has been experiencing some of the coldest weather on record!  It’s hard to believe that last week we were in our 80s!  This week we saw temperatures near FREEZING!
