A Valentine From Elly

These are the days that touch my heart…

“I’ve known you for about a year,

When I hear your voice I just might cheer.

As a teacher, you make me laugh and play,

I want to see you every day.

You never think of me as stupid,

I think I might be visiting Cupid.

Just as I think the day is done,

You show up and it’s just begun.

I know what Elly means, knowing Mrs. Kolbert makes me want to cheer! Thanks for sharing this! It’s always nice to see a young person who appreciates their teacher….and I am guessing Mrs. Kolbert is feeling pretty blessed to have such a great student.

What a wonderful tribute. Sentiments like that are why we teach – to touch our students’ lives. Obviously you are a successful teacher.

I really enjoyed reading this also. I have a feeling that I will enjoy my students as much as this teacher enjoys hers! Beautiful Poem!
