My Claymation is about the world cup finals. Also known as soccer tournament in America. We made up this idea by ruining our first Claymation project idea. So my partner Berk wanted to do soccer. I agreed and my other partner, Jon agreed to. So we figured this out by Berk making this idea. We made things up as we worked.
We got our ideas by just doing what ever we want to do. Our Claymation designer, Berk just did all the moving clay to all himself, and he did whatever he wanted to do. We triggered this idea by that. We worked together well as a team. We helped out by adjusting the camera and making the music and etc. The benefits were the amount of time we had. We encounter some hand parts because Jon was not paying attention. It was hard. We worked this problem out by doing nothing. We just said, “Do your job.” I enjoyed the most is editing the music and credits. There were easy to use. We had so much fun, including me.
The challenges were nothing. It was just easy and simple. There was a little struggle in the end because of deleting the pictures. Everything went well. It was so fun. I enjoyed it. If we had the chance to go back and fix something, it would be making the video longer and more editing. My project was so much fun, and I had a blast with my partners Jon, and Berk.
My Claymation experience was great. Our Claymation was about a little man in the forest who encounters a snake and makes some new friends. In the video, he takes a drive and the forest disappears. When he comes back, he finds the snake again and they say goodbye. We had a general idea of what we wanted as soon as we heard about the project. I think the most challenging part was when we had to copy and paste every clip three times because the frames weren’t there for long enough and you couldn’t really see a lot of the claymation. And we thought of other things as we went along, like other people, a car and foliage. We just thought about what would jazz the project up a bit and that’s where we got our ideas. We worked very well together, and we all had good group mojo. The advantages we had as a group is that max is amazing with technological stuff and he helped us out. Also, because there were a lot of people, we got done quickly. We did not really have any problems except for when we had to redo the ending because we put last names. I particularly enjoyed the actual making of the clay figures, because it was the most fun part. I would make the ending credits a little neater. I had a very positive experience with Claymation, and it was fun! After we finished Mr. Goldstein showed us something called white board animation, where you draw things on a white board and film it using iStop motion. We did two, one about a little man and the tree near his house. Our other one was about a man who came out of box, and took a nap. I think this was another great way to do animation. I think that claymation is fun and anybody who does it will have a great time!
Our Claymation is about a fish named Sim who can fly. We came up with this idea as we went along because we had no idea on how we were going to get the characters to talk but we, in the end, used closed captioning in the lower left hand side. Ideas, like the one described, were made due to lack of filming and we could not, try as we might, make it shorter. We, through these ups and downs, did eventually get along and contributed an adequate amount of effort into the equation. We sometimes did not know how to carry about this but we normally went along with the ideas of our teammates. For example, the sound was too long so I suggested we add in text to the video. This also allowed us to add music to our Claymation. I particularly enjoyed doing the voices even though we never used them they allowed us to express ourselves in a verbal manner. What was challenging was trying to have a steady hand so the spaceship we used does not move that much because we needed to keep our hands out of the shot. What I think went well was the animation though they did not make the characters look alive we barely had to stop and retake a shot. I would like the characters to be more alive so perhaps we could have fit the voices in because the voices were the best part of the movie in my opinion. If you want to see this movie with out searching for it, you should go to the Palm Beach County Vodcast sever and type in The Adventures of Sim the Flying Fish. =()
Our Claymation was about an astronaut going to Mars and finding an alien. After the astronaut finds the alien they start fighting and when the astronaut throws the alien down he runs away and flies away from the alien. The alien follows the astronaut and they both crash. We came up with the idea by thinking about space and we thought about what is going to happen as we worked. We just started thinking about situations what would happen and every day we just thought of something new. We worked very well as a team, but we had a few arguments about the Claymation. The benefits of working as a team were we each had a job and the jobs helped. We also had more ideas about making the claymation. The problems were that we couldn’t pick what would we would do. We also had some arguments. We worked out the problems by voting what we would do or picking out what would be better. I enjoyed making the clay figures and seeing the movie after we made it. The challenging thing that we found was starting filming because we didn’t know what to press and what to do when something bad happened. The things that went well were we got to finish the Claymation on time and working as a team. If we had to do this again I would improve the movie topic and improving the clay figures. We would also add a new background and more of the backgrounds.
My Claymation is about worms getting chased around by balls. We came up with the idea when Remy said that we should do something simple. We just went along doing what ever we wanted. It worked well, having fun with my friends. We worked well as a team. One benefit was getting done faster. One problem was agreeing on the idea. We took a vote. When we voted we all voted for the same cause. Molding the clay was fun in the project. We molded balls and worms. One thing I found challenging was getting along with each other. But in the end we all got along. The claymation came out great we had great ideas, in one scene a cat came out and left a red blob which he then ate. I had a great time I enjoyed the project the best part was molding the clay. We all had a great time.
Technology students work in groups to brainstorm ideas, create figures, creatures and objects in clay, and make them come to life through stop motion animation. We used iStopMotion Express 2, an Apple computer, and a video camera, shooting one frame at a time.
Our claymation is about famous people dancing on Sesame Street. We have Beyonce, Micheal Jackson, David Artchula and Brittney Spears dancing on Sesame Street. We didn’t come up with the idea in advance. All of us figured it out at the starting point. We put all our ideas together as we worked. It was fun because each time I had an idea someone had something better. How we came up with the idea is each person wanted someone famous in the video. So we all picked one person we wanted. And we do not know who came up with the idea but we just wanted them to dance on Sesame Street. Our team really worked good together. I like working together as a team because you don’t have to work by yourself. We got into some problems because we did not want all the same thing but we all wanted the video to look good. We worked out our problems so that we all picked one thing and if one person did this the other did that. My favorite part of the video is making the people. I found making the video as long as 60 seconds was hard because it seemed to long for me. I think making the ideas for the Claymation went well. I would work on making the video longer.
