The Moving and Grooving Shoe Skit – A video script for an invention

S: Oh, darn. My running shoes are so annoying! I have to bring an iPod with me when I run and I don’t like to wear the headphones! I have dropped my iPod so many times and it’s about to break!

(Natalia Enters)

N: Well, now you don’t have to! There is a new shoe called the Moving and Grooving Shoe! It has an iPod built into it so you don’t have to hold the iPod and have the annoying headphones on!

S: Wow! I want a pair of those!

N: Well, you are in luck. I happen to have a pair with me today!

S: Cool! Can I try them on?

(Time Passes while Sophie puts the shoes on)

S: I love this shoe! And it only costs $1,000.75.

N: The Moving and Grooving Shoe makes running much more fun! You can also personalize your own shoe and i Pod.

S: Also, you get your own remote to control the iPod. It doesn’t need to be charged. It runs on foot power!

N: Comes in all sizes and colors!!

S: Wow! I wish I could have another pair of these shoes!

S+N: The Moving and Grooving Shoe is the one for you!

    Bring hope to the dejected,

    And remorse to the heartless.


    Changing one person,

    Changing one community,

    Changing one nation,

    Changing the world.


    My words make a difference,

    And so does their creator.

    Armed with pens and pencils

    Crayons and markers

    Watercolors, oil pastels, acrylics

    Charcoal and tempera

    I set out on my journey

    Into a different world

    A world where the sky is brilliant shades of blue

    Indigo

    Cobalt

    Cerulean

    All meshing together in a seamless patchwork

    A world where flying horses stampede past

    On wings of flame

    Under a sizzling sun of cornflower yellow

    With the grass like forest green carpet

    Beneath my feet

    A world where logic is overruled by color

    And reason lay pure possibility

    Apples the size of soccer balls

    Hang from giant trees with leaves of polka-dotted pink

    Bubbling rivers in a shade of gold

    Abound with leaping purple goldfish

    A world where time has no jurisdiction

    And limitations make no difference

    A world where I can set my imagination free

    To run wild

    On silver breaths of wind

    I pick up my pencil

    And begin to draw
