Yesterday, Lantana Elementary had the second half of fifth grade attend the Life in the Estuary field trip. Unfortunately, the red tide that has been affected the west coast of Florida is now affecting our east coast. The children could not enter the intracoastal but they were not at a loss with Ms. Veronica’s stellar instruction. The children enjoyed their Estuary experience with the Predator/Prey Game, classroom instruction, museum experience and their walk on the boardwalk. A fascinating time was had by all. The children particularly interested in how the oysters can filter the water and plan to explore more. Thank you MacArthur State Beach Park for such an impactful experience.
