Take Your Child To Work Day by Jordan D.
Posted by Lee Kolbert under Educational Technology Team News, School Life | Tags: takeyourchildtowork |[14] Comments
3rd grader, Jordan D. attended work with her father on Take Your Child to Work Day. Since part of Dad’s job is blogging on behalf of our team, we asked Jordan and her sister to write their own blogposts. This is Jordan’s first blogpost ever. We hope to see many more from here on.
Today I went to work with my father. Today we fixed a computer. My sister came with us. We had so much fun. We went to lunch with my mother. We came back. My father had to help Mark and friends put boxes in a truck. Me and Kaleigh got stuck in an elevator. We came back up and we found our father looking for us. The End.

Sounds like you had lots of fun! I think it is really neat that your dad’s job is to blog. I can see you are quickly becoming a good blogger yourself.

Sounds like you had a great time at work with your Dad. I bet he had just as much fun. My kids get to come to work with me everyday and I love it — I work in their school!
Hope you didn’t have to spend too much time in the elevator.

What a great day and a look at what your father does. Blogging looks like a fun job and packing boxes must be “other duties as assigned”. So glad you were able to get out of the elevator!

Jordan,
I enjoyed reading about your day spent with your father at his place of business. I’m glad you had fun. I would be interested to know your reflections about your dad’s typical work day. Is it more or less exciting that you imagined? Why? Do you see yourself doing that kind of work after you’ve finished your years in school? I look forward to more blog posts by you in the future. Keep up the good work!

Jordan,
I bet you had a great day and I am so glad you told us all about it. Did going to work with your Dad help you decide what you want to be when you grow up? Going to work with my mom helped me decide when I was your age. Thanks for sharing with us!

Wonderful. I have all of my college students create and regularly post their blog. You are getting good practice early. Now you can add many things to a blog: pictures, sounds, google presentations, even videos. If you don’t know how yet, ask your Dad. That will make your blog even more fun.
I will be looking for your own blog soon I hope!

I enjoyed reading about your day with your dad and I am sure getting stuck in an elevator must have been hard.
Your dad looking for you reminded me of times when I was little and my dad would look for me, when I went to the park. He would whistle and I would come runing. I still hear that whistle sometimes.
Thanks for sharing and keep on writing!
